Nuorisoa nojailemassa auton konepelliä vasten Vallisaaressa. Auto oli mahdollista saada saareen jäätietä pitkin Santahaminasta, jos meri jäätyi riittävästi. Vaseammalla takana näkyy vanha kasarmirakennus, jota käytettiin säähavaintoasemana. Katolla
olevalle alustalle oli asennettu muun muassa tuulimittari.
