Töölön sairaalan tapaturma-asemaa ollaan purkamassa (Töölönkatu 40). Toiminta tapaturma-asemalla päättyi vuoden 2023 talvena, kun päivystys siirtyi Meilahden uuteen Siltasairaalaan. Takana naapuritontilla vuonna 1932 valmistunut Jussi Paatelan suunnittelema entinen Punaisen Ristin sairaalarakennus on suojeltu ja se säilytetään. Puretun rakennuksen tontille tullaan rakentamaan asuin- tai liiketaloja.
